DescriptionScreen Shot 2019-09-02 at 13.07.37

There are ugly truths
and pretty lies.
When I lost them
I chose neither.
I wrapped myself in silence.
My husband, my best friend, became a stranger who gave up.

Then….
He moved next door, and everything changed.
You think you know this story,
but you don’t.
Be careful what you ask for because the answer may not come the way you think.

Karen Magic Review

I found this on my Kindle in August and had downloaded it after I read What Happens After by the same author.

I also noticed it has had a new cover, which I don’t like as much as the old ,and as I write this I just noticed she has changed the the spelling of her first name. That seems a bit odd. You hear of people stealing stories and books, so I check on Goodreads to make sure it was listed under her original name, and it was. Soon as I began reading, I could see the same absorbing writing style.

An good story which I really enjoyed. I was trying to work out who the he in the title was. I presumed it would be someone the main character falls in love with. As I read, it became unlikely as she was still in love with her husband. Was she going to have an affair, perhaps?

‘He’ turned out to be a really nice guy and it quickly became apparent they weren’t going to be involved. Something made him special enough to appear in the title and I couldn’t guess what it was going to be. I tried. When it was revealed, to say it was a shock is an understatement. I hadn’t expected that in a contemporary romance. It left me very intrigued.

Portia Moore, however she wishes to spell her name, has a truely great writing style. She has over a thousand followers on Goodreads, so that says show popular she is, and how good her books are.

If you are looking for a great book with a romance and a fantastic story, and a massive surprise, then here it is.
