Karen’s Magic Review
At Christmas I came across a free book called Home for Christmas, by this author and it contained three Christmas stories. I really enjoyed them and went to look what else Jan Ruth had written. I’ve always had a soft spot for horses and the cover immediately grabbed me. Then I read the description and I was sold.
It was available on Kindle Unlimited, so I downloaded it. I wasn’t disappointed. It was thoroughly absorbing. It was one of those books – and I haven’t had one for a while – where you think about it between reads and just can’t wait to get back to see what happen next.
The story is about families and relationships and there is nothing more fascinating than us humans, and how we deal with emotional situations.
This book would have perfect except for one thing, and I don’t want to spoil anything by telling you exactly what as you may not agree. It was the ending. I’d have preferred her to have chosen which man she was going to end up with. I was rooting for both but felt I was being lead down the path of one in particular. I was wrong, and although the ending was satisfactory, it just failed at the last post.
Fantastic book, and well worth a download.
