Genre: Short Story
Well, hello, Sugar, my name is Joanna…
That’s the introduction that all my victims get. It’s nice to be polite.
Even serial killers have manners.
I know what I do isn’t normal, but I also know that I do the country a service.
And the world is better off with me in it. You’ll understand.
See, I was once the victim.
Hurt by the one who should have taken care of me.
Let down by the system that should have protected me.
Now I vow to help others, and if I have to hurt people to do it. I will.
Karen’s Magic Review
Now I don’t review books that I don’t like and certainly don’t review them if I don’t finish them. But as this is part of ‘my next four reads’ I feel that I should.
I won this book in a competition set by the author on her Facebook Page. She has really good interactive page, posts frequently and I am a fan of her writing. She writes short books in many genres, which is one of the reasons I like her writing.
I’ve read several of her books, Bernie and the Beast, Wedding Dress for Sale – Never Worn, and Carly.
Joanna’s Journey and Joanna’s Destiny made me only see the word Joanna and a quick read of the description, I though she sounded fiesty. I should have read the reviews, too, that would have told me it wasn’t my type of book at all! You can read one of them here.
I stopped reading partway as that kind of brutal I can’t stomach. So if you have a weak one, I don’t recommend this book. But can wholehearted recommend the author.
